In compliance with the current regulations, we inform you that, starting from the 6th of August,
the EU DIGITAL COVID CERTIFICATE C19 ( the green pass) + ID CARD/PASSPORT are mandatory
to access cultural venues including museums.
Starting from the 1st July 2021, the opening times of the Civic Museums of Vicenza will change slightly:
From Tuesday to Sunday, the Civic Museum of Palazzo Chiericati, the Church of Santa Corona and the Olympic Theatre can be visited from 10 to 18.
Inside the Olympic Theatre it is possible to watch a free show of music and lights called “Pop Palladio Olympic Project” available from Tuesday to Sunday at 10.30,11.30,12.30 e 15.30,16.30,17.30. The show lasts approximately 10 minutes.
The Natural history and Archaeological Museum and the Risorgimento and Resistance Museum are open 10-14 from Tuesday to Sunday. The admission to the Risorgimento and Resistance museum is free of charge.
Last admission to all museums 30 minutes before closure.
The art exhibition “Romano Lotto. Nel segno del paesaggio” is being hosted at the Civic Museum of Palazzo Chiericati until the 30h September 2021 and can be visited for free. About 40 paintings (oil on canvas) by the Vicentinian painter are displayed inside.
At the Risorgimento and Resistance Museum it is possible to see some important documents written by the Vicentinian architect Antonio Caregaro Negrin (1821-1898) on military and patriotic engineering activities during the First Italian War of Independence. 2021 marks the bicentenary of Negrin’s birth, who has been a significant and exemplary figure in the cultural life of the 19th century.
Till the 31st of August the Basilica Palladiana is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 to 18 (last admission at 17.30). The main hosts an exhibition dedicated to Dante Alighieri, titled “Infernus”, which is included in the ticket price.
The Terrace of the Basilica is accessible only on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 10 to 18 (last admission at 17.30).
The Cafè on the terrace is open to the public on Wednesday, Fridays, Saturdays from 19 to 01 and on Sundays from 18.30 to 23 (last admission 30 min. before closure).
The Tourist Information Office in Piazza Matteotti 12 is open every day from 9 to 18 (tel. +39 0444 320854) whereas the Tourist infopoint inside the Basilica Palladiana (tel. +39 0444 222855) is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 -18.
As for the other museums:
Gallerie d'Italia Palazzo Leoni Montanari can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 - 18 (last admission at 17.30).
The Diocesan Museum is open every day (Mon-Sun) from 14-18.
The Palladio Museum opens from Tuesday to Friday, 10-18 for groups (min. 10 pax) and for schools. In both cases, reservation is mandatory. Starting from 5th June 2021, it will be open on Saturdays and Sundays too (10-18) for individual visitors. The booking has to be carried out at least a day before the actual visit.
Villa Valmarana ai Nani is open every day, Mon to Sun, 10-18.
Villa La Rotonda can be visited for both exterior and interior visits on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 10 - 12 and 15 - 18.
Villa Cordellina in Montecchio Maggiore (VI) is open from Tuesday to Sunday with the following opening times:
Tuesday: 9.00-13.00 (max capacity inside the Tiepolo Hall: 7 pax)
Wednesday: 9.00-13.00 15.00-18.00 (max capacity inside the Tiepolo Hall: 7 pax)
Thursday: 9.00-13.00 15.00-18.00 (max capacity inside the Tiepolo Hall: 7 pax)
Friday: 9.00-13.00 (max capacity inside the Tiepolo Hall : 7 pax)
Saturday and Sunday: 9.00-13.00 15.00-18.00 (only with booking by calling 0444 696085 with at least a day in advance).
Villa Caldogno and the Bunker from the Second World War are open on Mondays and Fridays,09 - 12 and 15 - 18. On Saturdays and Sundays, it is mandatoy to book the visit by calling 345 9302084 before 15.00 on Friday.
Villa God Malinverni is open on the following days: Tuesday: 14 -18 (15-19 during summer), Saturday 10 -13, Sunday and public holidays-10-18 ( 19h during summer). Booking is mandatory for group visits.
Villa Pisani Bonetti in Lonigo is always open, even on Mondays, and can be visited with reservation only.
The Fondazione Bisazza is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11 to 18 until the 29th July 2021 (the reservation is required). It will be closed to the public from 1st August to 31st August 2021.
