Since the beginning of 2008, many journalists and foreign operators have come in Vicenza. They are interested in 500 years of  Palladio’s birth of course, but not only in it.

In February, Heinz Schmid, a Swiss journalist, came in Vicenza. He works for “Die Schweizer Familie”, a Swiss famous weekly magazine. Mr Schmid is very curious, he wanted to discover Vicenza and also its particular and unusual features.

At the BIT of Milan, the Japanese Makiko Miura, who works in Enit Press Office of Tokio, expressed her interest in the 500 years of Palladio’s birth. She wanted to send a press release to Japanese journalists who collaborate with Enit and she visited Vicenza on 26^th February.

On 27^th February eight women who work for european travel agencies and tour operators, came in Vicenza to take part in the educational post Buy Italy organized by Veneto Region. They visited with interest the historic city center, Villa Cordellina Lombardi and the wine production of Zonin. Than they had lunch with typical “palladian menu” at Molin Vecio in Caldogno.

Some days later, twentyeight German operators guided by the german travel agency Imatur, stopped at Vicenza to take part in the educational about the celebration 500 years of Palladio’s birth and the exhibition “Palladio 500 years” which had been pesented by the International Andrea Palladio’s Study Center.
