The exhibition "Jacopo Bassano 500 Years" introduces the activity of Jacopo Bassano to the public up to the years '60, introducing with an unpublished work recently recovered in Rome, an Adoration of the Magis, unusual for the presence also of the shepherds, perhaps identifiable with that performed in 1537 for the chapel of the Palazzo Pretorio. It is not the only jewel of the exhibition: coming from public and private, European and extraeuropean collections, other works, never exposed in Italy, returned to Bassano for an exciting dialogue with the paintings remained in precious inheritance to the city of the Grappa.
To celebrate the 500th anniversary of the birth of Jacopo Bassano, a number of projects and events over three years designed to expand knowledge in all aspects of the artist, focusing at first on works in youth and maturity and thenon the final stage of its production, partly performed in collaboration with the children.
