Palladio per mano (a walk with Palladio) is a initiative promoted by the Province Administration of Vicenza in collaboration with Vicenza è.

The guided tours are organized every Saturday and Sunday from 25th April to 4th October and include:

SATURDAY from 14,30 to 17,30:
Guided tour on foot in the historic town centre (max 40 ppl)
ROUTE A
14,30 The tour begins with the visit to the Teatro Olimpico (1) and the outside of the Palazzo Chiericati (2) and the Casa Cogollo, called Palladio's house.
Arrival at the Palazzo Thiene (3), where the participants can visit the recently restored rooms in the basement, open only for the guided tours.
The tour goes on with a walk in the historic town centre, with the introduction to the other palaces, among which Palazzo Barbaran da Porto (4), Basilica Palladiana, Piazza dei Signori (5), Palazzo Bonin Longare (6), the Cathedral, Palazzo Valmarana Braga Rosa...
17,30 End of the guided tour (Piazza Castello)

SUNDAY from 9,00 to 15,00 or to 17,30:
Sightseeing of the villas by coach (max 30 ppl)
ROUTE B
9,00 Departure by coach from Viale Roma.
Visit to Villa Caldogno, an example of the simplicity of Palladian architecture, which is seat of the "C4", a centre for education through contemporary art.
Departure for Villa Godi Malinverni, the first villa that Palladio designed, filming location of L. Visconti's "Senso"
Departure for Bassano del Grappa and visit to the historic town centre and the Ponte degli Alpini with free-choice Grappa tasting.
Free-choice lunch
14,00 Departure from Bassano and return to Vicenza.
ROUTE C
15,10 Departure from Viale Roma. Past the Arco delle Scalette, outside stop in front of Villa La Rotonda.
Visit to Villa Cordellina Lombardi (frescoes by G.B. Tiepolo), an important example of Palladianism, an architectural style which is famous all over the world.
Return to Vicenza.
17,30 End of the tour (viale Roma).
