RECOARO’s HYDROLOGICAL HERITAGE
Recoaro owes its fame as a spa resort to the harmonious blend of the catchment area, which is able to supply countless mineral springs, and the particularly favourable geographical location, with its scenic beauty and climate.
Recoaro’s hydrological heritage is unique because of the quantities and variety of types of mineral waters available. 9 equipped springs are available, 5 of which (Lelia, Lorgna, Amara, Nuova and Lora) can be found in the FONTI CENTRAL complex; the remaining 4 (Giuliana, Capitello, Franco and Aureliana) are in separate areas.

OTHER THERAPIES AT THE RECOARO TERME SPA COMPLEX

Balneotherapy
  • OCHRE BATH The right amount of semi-fluid matter from the spontaneous deposit of waters with a high content of carbonates of iron, magnesium and calcium is added to the water in the pool to increase the mineralization of the water.
The stimulating action of the mineral ions on the nerve endings relaxes the skeletal musculature, positively influencing the neuro-vegetative system.
This bath is recommended for no longer than 10 minutes, in the morning, and is aimed at treating arthrosis, post-traumatic arthopathies, tendonitis, neuritis  and also asthenic syndromes and depression related neurosis

  • STEAM BATH: This balneotherapy technique uses the thermal water from the spring as a healing element, in the form of rising steam.
Regularly alternating the hot steam in the cabin (45°-52°) with the cold wet towel (18°-20° used for wrapping around yourself), has a beneficial, vascular gymnastic effect on the deep and surface vein area, with a vascular cleaning action.
Intense sweating after a steam bath regenerates the organism and allows the toxic products accumulated in the inter-cellular liquid to be eliminated.
Steam baths have always been considered the best natural therapy. They have a releasing action on the hemolymphatic system, promoting oxygenation of the tissues and preventing the formation of chronic foci, a source of loss of energy with immunological potential. Steam baths are particularly popular with those who have very dry skin and sweat little, and by those who cannot tolerate high temperatures. By adding a few drops of essential oil to the water, the steam bath becomes aromatherapy.

  • CARBON BATH: This is created by adding CO2 to the water to be used.  Carbon dioxide and carbonic acid induce peripheral vasodilatation, Which increases blood perfusion in areas that are poorly supplied. For this bath too, you are advised not to stay in for longer than 10 minutes, and it is recommended in the case of peripheral, obstructing vascular diseases, Raynaud’s syndrome; it brings relief to pain caused by the varices in the lower limbs.

  • OZONIZED BATHS: Help peripheral vascular diseases; they can be simple, or combined with the hydro-massage technique.

  • SULPHUROUS and SALT IODINE BATHS: These balneotherapy applications can be created artificially, and are suitable for a number of skin diseases, such as acne and psoriasis.
Mud therapy
  • The mud that is used derives from a solid component mixture that originates, in part, from the saline rainfall in the waters, and mineral water. The therapeutic action depends on the thermal stimulus applied to the surface to be treated, consequently, to integrate, this is followed by the bath and partial or general massotherapy treatment. These treatments are beneficial for post-traumatic, degenerative arthropathies, and fractures.
Inhalation therapy and aerosoltherapy
    • The difference between the two therapies lies in the degree of vaporization of the water since bicarbonate waters are used in both cases; these have an anti-spasmodic and decongestant action on the bronchial mucous membranes. Two sessions are recommended a day for a total of 20/24 treatments.

    • lymph drainage
    • radar therapy
    • ultrasound
    • ionophoresis.
