1941 "PICCOLO MONDO ANTICO"directed by Mario Soldati - co-regia di Alberto Lattuada

Adaptation of the novel with the same name by Antonio Fogazzaro, with Alida Valli, Massimo Serato, Elvira Bonecchi, Marino Pascoli.<

1944 "AEROPORTO" directed by Piero Costa -
The film tells the story of a sergeant running away from Pantelleria because of his superior's betrayal. The film was one of the few about the war on this period.

1954 "SENSO " directed by Luchino Visconti - This film, which caused great sensation because of some love scenes, was almost entirely filmed in the Villa Godi Malinverni in Lugo , the first villa by Andrea Palladio and in the Villa Piovene Porto Godi.

1960 "LETTERE DI UNA NOVIZIA" directed by Alberto Lattuada
Interpreti - main character Jean Paul Belmondo

1964 "CASANOVA 70" directed by Mario Monicelli
All'Olimpico di Vicenza si girano alcune scene di "Casanova '70", film che ripercorre in chiave moderna la vicenda di Giacomo Casanova. Protagonista ne e' Marcello Mastroianni e tra gli attori c'e' anche il regista Marco Ferreri.
Some scenes of "Casanova '70" were shooted in the Teatro Olimpico. This film is a modern rereding of the story of Casanova.

1965 "SIGNORI e SIGNORE" directed by Pietro Germi. Palma d'oro a Cannes - winner of Palme d'Or of Cannes.
Interpreti Virna Lisi, Gastone Moschin, Alberto Lionello oltre a numerosi vicentini fra i quali ricordiamo Virgilio Scapin e Mario Rigoni Stern per un film divertente suddiviso in tre storie di corna "alla veneta".
Characters Virna Lisi, Gastone Moschin, Alberto Lionello and other people from Vicenza, for example Virgilio Scapin and Mario Rigoni Stern, a funny film divided in three stories of adulteries.

1969 "IL COMISSARIO PEPE" directed by Ettore Scola - with Ugo Tognazzi e Silvia Dioniso.
This film is a portrait of a Venetian province (Vicenza as a matter of facts, not mentioned, because it could be any other city in the province) as bigoted and hypocrite city. Lots of inhabitants of Vicenza played a walk on part.

1971 "LA MOGLIE DEL PRETE" directed by Dino Risi
With Sophia Loren and Marcello Masroiani, who were, respectively, a singer disapointed by a relationship and a priest. It is set in Villa Fracanzan Piovene in Orgiano.

1976 "IL COMUNE SENSO DEL PUDORE"
With Alberto Sordi and Claudia Cardinale. It was filmed both in Vicenza and Bassano

1976 "LA MADAMA" Directed by Duccio Tesari
With Carol Andre', Duccio Tessari, Oreste Lionello

1978 "GEPPO IL FOLLE" Directed by Adriano Celentano
Adriano Celentano fedelissimo dell'Altopiano gira una parte del film a favore del quale si mobilitano numerosi giovani in cerca di particine. -

1979 "DON GIOVANNI" Directed by Joseph Losey
It was filmed in the Autum of 1978.

1986 "LA BONNE" regia di Salvatore Samperi
Directed by Salvatore Samperi; with Florence Guerin

1987 "ALL'ULTIMO MINUTO" Directed by Pupi Avati
Lots of scenes were filmed in the football stadium of Vicenza.

1989 "IL PRETE BELLO" Directed by Carlo Mazzacurati
With Roberto Citran, Massimo Santella, Davide Torsello and Adriana Asti. This film, entirely set in the historical center of Vicenza, tells the story of common people living in Vicenza at the end of the 30's.

1993 "PICCOLI MAESTRI" Directed by Daniele Lucchetti
The film is adapted from the homonymous novel by Luigi Meneghello. It tells the story of a group of students who opposes to the Italian nazist invasion, on the Altopiano of Asiago in 1943.

1994 "PERDIAMOCI DI VISTA" Directed by Carlo Verdone
With Asia Argento and Carlo Verdone; the film, partly shot in the Vicentino, is an important turning point in Carlo Verdone's career.

1998 "SOGNANDO L'AFRICA" Directed by Hugh Hudson
With Kim Basinger, Vincent Perez. Short but significant passage in Vicenza. The film was firstly shot in Sud-Africa, then in 1998 in Asolo, Venezia, Treviso, Castelfranco and also Vicenza.

1999 "ROSA e CORNELIA" Directed by Giorgio Treves
With Athina Cenci, Stefania Rocca, Daria Nicolodi, Massimo Poggio e Chiara Muti. Set during the half of 18th century, it has a perfect scenographical reconstruction, thanks to the authentic mansion of Vicenza, where the film was shot.

1999 "RITRATTI" Directed by Carlo Mazzacurati
Short film (1 hour) or better a video interwiew by Marco Paolini, in which he tells the life, youth, war and job of Mario Rigoni Stern, unique main character.

2001 "RIPLEY'S GAME" Directed by Liliana Cavani.
With John Malkovich, Dougray Scott, Ray Winstone, Chiara Caselli, Lena Headey. Adapted from the novel ''L'amico Americano'' by Patricia Highsmith and it represents the continuous of ''the talent of Mr Ripley''. It was shot in Vicenza and Bassano.

2003 "PRIMO AMORE" Directed by Matteo Garrone
Matteo Garrone, who won with his last film "l'imbalsamatore" 2 David di Donatello, has setted in Vicenza his new film "Primo amore".

2003: Riscostruzione filmica della storia di Thiene
Il film, commissionato dal Comune di Thiene a Dennis Dellai, co-regista assieme a Paolo Agostini, e' incentrato sull'eroica figura del partigiano thienese Giacomo Chilesotti.

2004: "IL MERCANTE DI VENEZIA" Directed by Michael Radford
Jeremy Irons, Al Pacino and Joseph Fiennes are the main charachters of "The merchant of Venice", by Michael Radford, shot in Castello Colleoni of Thiene and in the Veneto Region.

2005: "CASANOVA" Directed by L. Hallstrom
Casanova meets and falls desperatly in love with Francesca, a charming and beautiful Venetian girl. For the first time in his life, Casanova is refused by a woman. While the Inquisition is looking for him, Casanova, through some camouflages and deceits, try to approach Francesca.

2005: "ONLY YOU" Directed by Choi Moon Suk Directed
The popular Corean Tv movie, chooses Vicenza as the ideal location for a love story of a young Corean girl, who arrives in Vicenza and, after some cooking lessions, becomes a famous chef.

2006: "IL SANTO" directed by Antonello Bellucco (con Jordi Molla)
Movie about the life of Sant'Antonio from Padova

2006: "STILL LIFE" directed by Filippo Cipriano
Thriller shooted in summertime in Asiago plateau. Cast: Ulisse Lendaro, Linda Gennari, Giovanni de Giorni
